Richard L. Warsh is a practicing attorney and has been a member of the Michigan Bar Association since October 24, 1977. He graduated from the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science and the Arts in 1974, and received his Juris Doctorate Degree from the Detroit College of Law in 1977. He has been a practicing attorney in Workers' Compensation from 1978 to the present. He has been a member of the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association since 1978, a sustaining member since 1982, and a member of the Executive Board since 1982. He is the co-chairman of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association and has been since 1993. He is Special Counsel to the Attorney Grievance Commission and has been so since 1984 and as a panelist for the Attorney Grievance Commission since 1992. He is a participant in the Oakland University Legal Assistant Program and has been since 1987. He has had the opportunity to speak at various seminars including seminars for the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association, National Business Institute and Institute of Continuing Legal Education. In addition, he has been very active in the Section and has appeared before the Senate Labor Committee on several occasions opposing proposed legislation.
